Full Permaculture Design Course on the Isle of Man

Permaculture Association (Isle of Man) promotes an annual Full Permaculture Design Certificate course. The dates of the next course are 24th June to 4th  July 2010.  The course costs £190, plus a food kitty of £60. Deposit of £50 to be paid on application, balance to be paid atleast two weeks before start of the course.

Our costs are kept low as the course is held at a camping based venue. The basic facilities included a large and beautiful yurt classroom, a field kitchen, interesting compost toilet, solar pumped shower etc. Local participants are encouraged to camp on site rather than leave for home each evening.

The site is the home of the Native Oak Group tree nursery, a field full of interesting trees and shrubs, a small earth sheltered building, a reed bed water treatment system, a forest garden, an 'edible' hedge and some chickens - among many other things.

The beautiful location is complimented by a backdrop of the Manx hills beyond the woodland and is just a ten minute cycle ride from the beach.
