Full Permaculture Design Course on the Isle of Man

Course Leader: Rod Everett Assisted by: Mill Millichap

Peppi and Paul Teaching Permaculture Association (Isle of Man) promotes an annual Full Permaculture Design Certificate course. The next course will be held on Friday 4th (7pm) to Monday 14th July 2008 (5pm) and costs £180, plus a food kitty of £50.

This was last held at the site of the Native Oak Group from Friday 7th to Sunday 16th September 2007 .

Our costs were kept low as this is a camping based venue. The basic facilities included a large and beautiful yurt classroom, a field kitchen, interesting compost toilet, solar pumped shower etc. Local participants were encouraged to camp on site rather than leave for home each evening.

Yurt Time to Relax The site is the home of the Native Oak Group tree nursery, a field full of interesting trees and shrubs, a small earth sheltered building, a reed bed water treatment system, a forest garden, an 'edible' hedge and some chickens - among many other things.

The beautiful location is complimented by a backdrop of the Manx hills beyond the woodland and is just a ten minute cycle ride from the beach.

The course leader, Rod Everett, kindly gave a very interesting interview about the 2006 course:
